Hello

My name is Sierra Scott.

I am an Intern Therapist who is pursuing a Master’s in Counseling at Lipscomb University. I work with trauma survivors and individuals navigating emotional overwhelm and self-doubt, helping them feel more grounded in themselves and more confident in their choices.

Let me tell you why I should be your therapist…

My Story

My path into counseling grew out of my own experiences with trauma and the healing I found through therapy. Experiencing this care as a client showed me what becomes possible when someone is given the space to set their own pace, feel supported, and make sense of their inner world. I saw firsthand how powerful it can be to receive help early and how foundational clarity and resilience can grow from thoughtful, compassionate care.

Those experiences shaped the kind of therapist I wanted to become. I’m especially drawn to working with people navigating trauma and grief, often alongside a sense of emotional overwhelm or disconnection from themselves. My approach is grounded and collaborative, emphasizing slowing down, listening to the body, and building a sense of safety from the inside out. I believe healing doesn’t have to be rushed and that meaningful change happens when we move at a pace that feels respectful and steady.

Outside of the therapy room, creativity plays an important role in my life. I enjoy pottery, painting, DIY home projects, and spending time in my garden tending to vegetables and flowers. These practices help me stay steady and present. I’m also in an ongoing process of spiritual deconstruction from evangelical Christianity, which has deepened my appreciation for curiosity, self-trust, and honoring one’s evolving sense of meaning. At home, I’m usually accompanied by my Pitbull, Smokey, who is a daily reminder of the importance of nurture and care.

If you’re considering therapy and looking for a space that feels calm, supportive, and grounding, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you begin or continue this work

02. One of our therapists will reach out to you at the scheduled time for the video consultation to learn more about your therapy goals and answer all your questions about the therapy process.

03. Assuming the therapist is a good fit and both parties want to work together, we’ll schedule the first intake session and go from there. If, for some reason, Horn Counseling doesn’t have a therapist that is a good fit for your therapy goals, we want to help you find a therapist that is.
